Competition Attracting Research Excellence (CARE) Grants

In 2008, St. Mary's Research Centre and St. Mary's Hospital Foundation established the CARE competition (Competition Attracting Research Excellence) to support the development of clinical research and healthcare services at St. Mary's Hospital Centre.

CARE Project Grants

CARE Project Grants provide financial support over a period of two years for projects related to the development of clinical research and health services at St. Mary's Hospital Centre. The CARE Project Grants is an ideal opportunity for members of the SMH community who would like to conduct research to get a first-hand experience as principal investigator, with the collaboration of an experienced researcher, and with access to support from the SMRC team.

The CARE Project Grants are intended for members of the St. Mary's Hospital community who wish to conduct research to gain hands-on experience as a principal investigator, collaborating with an experienced researcher and benefiting from the support of the SMRC team. Senior principal investigators provide regular mentorship and support throughout the entire process. Administrative support includes knowledge transfer planning, budgeting, human resources management, statistical analysis, and manuscript preparation.
